What will I study?
The majority of the course is spent working in the kitchen and restaurant areas where students will learn a variety of skills associated with preparing and cooking food, as well as serving food and drink.

How can I progress?
Students may continue their studies by completing NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality & Supervision, but must be working in the industry. The qualification will improve prospects within the industry where there is a general shortage of skilled staff.

Course Structure
In order to gain a Chef's Diploma (7100) Level 2 these units are studied: KITCHEN *Health, Safety and Hygiene, *Meat, Fish and Vegetable Cookery, *Larder Work, *Pastry Production, *Stocks, Soups and Sauces, *Food Safety Certficate. SERVING FOOD & DRINK *Offering customers an excellent personal and organisational impression. Students will also go on work placements to gain further experience in the industry.
