You will complete a series of modules which will focus on different aspects of chemistry This will involve, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry There will be practical skills embedded in the sessions throughout the course content
How will I be assessed?For the AS course there are 2 written papers lasting 1 hour 30 minutes each There are 3 written papers for the A level course The first two written papers last 2 hours each The third written paper also lasts for 2 hours buts assesses practical technique, critical analysis of experimental data and includes a 25 mark synoptic essay question Throughout the course students will be assessed regularly
What may it lead to?This qualification can lead you to study at Higher Education or employment/Apprenticeship in a career in the scientific industry
