Content / Overview:
Childcare is a rapidly growing area with many employment opportunities in the UK and abroad. During the two years of study, you will learn about a wide range of subjects including child development, how children learn, children's play, child protection, healthy eating, caring for babies, child health and working with parents. You will also attend a variety of placements including nurseries and schools. The course is demanding and requires good organisational skills to enable you to complete the coursework. An in-depth piece of research completes the course. You will be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau check at the beginning of the course which must be paid for.

Delivery Method:
Learn about a wide ragen fo subjects and undertake a variety of work placements.

Assessment:
Exams, assignments, portfolios, case study and a piece of research.

Progression:
Work in a variety of settings at home or abroad or study for degrees in primary teaching, early years, nursing, midwifery or social work. This course is equivalent to 3 A Levels and attracts 360 UCAS points.
