What you need to know
How will I study?

You will study 15 units over the two years, which include: Child development from conception to 7 years; Children's health and well-being; Play and learning; Observation of children; Supporting emergent literacy and mathematics; Preparing for school readiness; International Perspectives; Reflective Practice; Professional Partnerships. Units 8 & 15 are Professional Practice units, which will require you to be observed in placement, collate practice evidence, plan and undertake a range of activities in which you are assessed. You will be planning and leading a range of activities in placement across the age ranges.
How will I be taught?

Teaching and learning methods include, practical classes, group and individual work, lectures, project work, self-study, study trips.
How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by a variety of internal and external assessments including assignment writing, presentations and a placement portfolio. You will be also be observed in placement by an assessor. You will complete 2 externally marked assignments (5000 words each); one in each year.
