Course programme
All applicants will be invited to attend an Access Workshop where full course information is given and you will be expected to complete the Initial Assessment and a written exercise. You will also be given a questionnaire which needs to be returned before interview.
All applicants need to successfully complete the online and written Initial Assessments to the required standard.You will then be invited in on a separate date for a one to one interview.
You will study a range of units each having the potential to be awarded at level 3 (equivalent to A level). Each unit is worth 3 credits. For successful completion of the access course you will need a minimum of 60 credits at level 3. Each unit at level 3 is awarded a pass, merit or distinction. Along with your core subject units you will study a range of subjects that build and prepare you for academic study at university level. If you require a higher grade at GCSE English and / or Maths you will be able to study for this alognside your main Access to HE Diploma.
You will be assessed using a range of methods including placement, academic essays, reports and presentations.
