Course Length:
Level 2 - 12-24 months, Level 3 - 18-24 months.

Course Summary:
You will gain a vocational qualification where you will prove your knowledge and understanding of how to care for children's needs from 0-16 years in the place you work.

Course Details:
Level 2 is for people who are beginning to work with children as an assistant.It gives a good basic understanding of the needs of children you care for.

Level 3 is for people who are working within a level 3 job role, for example room/section leaders and those who have sole charge responsibilities, for example childminders.

Career Progression:
Today there is a high demand for paid child care.

Level 2 qualification will enable you to work as a nursery assistant, pre-school assistant or a creche assistant.

Level 3 qualification will enable you to work as a nanny, childminder, nursery nurse, room leader, pre-school manager or a teaching assistant.

Other Information:
NVQ courses encourage you to build portfolios of evidence of your job experience. Your working practice within your setting will need to be observed by an outside assessor. All direct observations will take place within your present age group.

Fees:
Level 2 - 990 tuition and 54 assessment and 25 affiliation fee.

Level 3 - 1013 tuition and 70 assessment and 25 affiliation fee.

Fees are calculated for a 2 year course but must be paid at the start. We are sorry but no refunds can be given if you finish the course early as you are paying for assessors and IV's time. Bursaries are available if you live/work in Surrey County Council up to 720.
