What will you be learning?
This course is for people already in employment or volunteering and is designed to help them progress and become more competent and confident at work.

This course consists of: Contributing to positive relationships; helping to keep children safe; supporting children's development; preparing and maintaining an environment to meet children's needs; supporting children's play and learning and optional units.

You will be assessed by assignments and assessment in the workplace.

What happens when you have finished?
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto an NVQ 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.

Tuition Fee: £1575

You may not have to pay this tuition fee if:

• You are unemployed and in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance (contribution-based)
• You are in receipt of, or are an un-waged dependent of someone currently in receipt of any of the following "income-based" benefits:
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Income-related Employments and Support ALlowance (ESA)
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit (your assessed household income needs to be less than 15,276 per year (amount subject to change)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit (excluding the 25% single person reduction)
  • Pension Credit - Guaranteed only
• You are studying for your
  
  first full Level 2 qualification, whatever your age.
• You are aged 19-24 on the 31st of August prior to the start of your course and studying for your
  
  first full Level 3 qualification, whatever your age.
