Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ Level 4
City and Guilds Level: This is an NVQ Level 4 course.
What is the NVQ Children†s Care, Learning & Development Level 4 course? This NVQ Level 4 qualification is a nationally recognised qualification which the Government recommends for all those working as managers, proprietors or supervisors in children†s nurseries and pre-schools. Students must hold an NVQ Children's Care, Learning and Development Level 3 or equivalent qualification. It is also necessary that you speak to the Programme Manager before enrolling.
The course is competence based and depends on the student being in an appropriate work setting to carry out management responsibilities and to be assessed in that role.

Please note that you will be required to complete a First Aid Certificate details of which can be obtained from your tutor. Teaching and Learning You will attend taught sessions at College which will include portfolio building to assist you in your evidence collection. There will be individual tutorials to assess existing competence and to develop your managerial skills.
You will be allocated an assessor who will carry out observations of you in your workplace.
Assessment details You will be given a City and Guilds assessment pack and you will be required to produce a portfolio which will be internally and externally verified.
