Description
An introduction to food safety and the risks associated with handling food. You will learn about contamination, cleaning and personal hygiene.

- Personal Hygiene – how to keep clean and hygienic
- Cleaning – the importance of cleaning in a catering premises
- Contamination = how to keep a product safe.
How will I learn?
Through Discussion, Practical activities, Group and individual work
How will I know how well I am doing?
Learners will follow their own individual learning plan with progress recorded by tutors and by the learners. Feedback will also be given to individuals during the lesson.
Will I need to do extra work at Home?
You will be encouraged to put the skills and knowledge learnt in the class into practice in your everyday life
What will I need to provide?
Folder, paper, dividers, plastic wallets and a pen
