CIEH Level 2 Award in food safety 6 hrs

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in a qualification that covers the
basic principles of food hygiene for caterers and other food handlers. As this course involves a pass/fail examination , a pre course assessment will be required.

This unit is aimed at those working in a wide range of settings.
Residential, community, day centres, and supported housing. Ideal for customers with a group of homes or units for whom it is more cost effective to run a course for the team.

• Firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved;
• Understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling);
• Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food.

Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.
