Suggested progression: CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering or CIEH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering

Prerequisites: It is recommended that candidates have achieved a CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety (or equivalent) or CIEH Level 2 Award in HACCP (or equivalent) before embarking on the training programme for this qualification. Candidates should also have min level 2 in literacy

Examination details

The method of assessing the CIEH Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing has changed along with the required number of guided learning hours.

Learners will no longer be assessed by assignment. You will now sit an examination comprising 45 multiple choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The minimum pass mark is 30 correct answers

Successful candidates

Successful candidates will receive the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's (CIEH) Level 3 Award in HACCP in Catering certificate. Certificates are issued by the CIEH approximately 2-3 weeks after the examination date.

Successful candidates can gain exemption from attending part of the CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering course, as for details.

Your HACCP trainer has studied food safety and food science at degree level. The trainer has 4 years of delivering HACCP courses and writes HACCP plans for food businesses. The trainer is CIEH registered and an accredited audited member of the CIEH.
