Good administrative skills are essential in almost all areas of employment and there is huge demand for specialist legal secretaries. You will study topics like legal digital audio transcription, advanced proofreading, mail merge, presentations and the legal environment. As part of the course you are expected to undertake a work placement in a legal office

Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English or a Level 2 qualification at merit or distinction. You will also need a good standard of secondary education.
Delivery and Assessment
The course is assessed in a variety of ways including internally marked assessments and examinations. A variety of teaching methods are used including practical “hands on” teaching with the use of computers.
Progression
You will be able to progress directly into employment as a secretary or administrator within a legal environment. Alternatively you can progress onto higher qualifications such as a Paralegal Apprenticeship (depending upon entry requirements).
