Course programme

Management accounting combines accounting, finance and management with the leading edge techniques needed to drive successful businesses. This Management level qualification is the second level of the professional qualification and consists of four exams. By passing this level, you will gain the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.

  • E2 Project and Relationship Management - You will learn how to develop a holistic approach to managing organisations from external and internal perspectives as well as how to implement organisational strategy through people, projects, processes and relationships.

  • P2 Advanced Management Accounting - You will learn how to analyse, plan and manage costs to support the implementation of an organisation's strategy. How to manage and control the performance of business units within an organisation in line with short-term budgets and long-term strategy. 3. Make investment decisions, taking into account the risks related with such decisions.

  • F2 Advanced Financial Reporting - You will learn how to source long-term finance, how to produce and analyse complex aspects of group accounting as well as how to use analysis of financial statements to provide insights about the performance of the business over time.

  • Management Case Study - For this module you will apply the knowledge you have gained in the three subjects to reflect real-life work situations.

CIMA will test a variety of skills including research and analysis, how to present information, and communication skills. The move to more case study assessments has been deliberate to test a wider range of skills and integrated learning across the topics by reflecting real work situations. The case studies consolidate the cross discipline learning at each level.
