Building on the popularity of Apprenticeships with employers in the UK, the Skills CFA and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) have developed a new Higher Apprenticeship framework in HR. The Apprentice would be a paid employee of your organisation and are able to develop vital work-based skills whilst gaining valuable experience. Apprenticeships combine practical, on-the-job learning with knowledge-based training with an approved CIPD qualification.

How will I study?

Core:- Understanding the Contemporary HR Function; Developing Professional Practice in HR; Understanding the Business Context of HR & Using a Research Approach in HR Theory and applied subjects:- Employee Engagement; Understanding Employment Law; Resourcing and Talent Planning; Coaching and mentoring; Contemporary HR Development; Understanding the Management of Change and Understanding the Management of Employment Relations
How will I be taught?

Live lessons and collaborative working are the cornerstones of the teaching style at Chichester College. You will learn the principles of human resources practice through talks, group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and practical exercises. Throughout the programme you will be encouraged to relate theories and practice to your own organisation and experience both within class and written/practical assignments. You will be required to do study in your own time, 2-6 hours a week.
How will I be assessed?

The completion of an ongoing programme of written and practical work in the workplace will assimilate your understanding and test your application of the knowledge and skills you have learnt.
