A one evening (Wed) short 7 week course in Coaching and Mentoring. The purpose of this unit is to enable the learner to contribute to the development of coaching and mentoring activities within organisations. As a HR/L&D professional the learner is encouraged to analyse the extent to which coaching and mentoring exist within an organisational context, the efficiency and effectiveness of such interventions and the role of line managers as coach and mentor.

How will I study?
Developing coaching and mentoring within organisations
How will I be taught?
Live lessons and collaborative working are the cornerstones of the teaching style at Chichester College. You will learn the principles of coaching and mentoring through talks, group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and practical exercises. Throughout the programme you will be encouraged to relate theories and practice to your own organisation and experience both within class and written/practical assignments. You will be required to do study in your own time, 2 hours a week.
How will I be assessed?
The completion of written and practical work will assimilate your understanding and test your application of the knowledge and skills you have learnt.
