The CIPD Level 5 Diploma In Human Resource Management (QCF) will give you a broader perspective of the organisational issues facing HR professionals. Whilst enhancing your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of different HR models and practices in a variety of areas you will also develop effective planning, analytical and problem solving skills. Equates to 44 QCF.
Course starts September 2016, date and day of week to be announced.The course is scheduled to run Tuesdays and Thursdays, subject to numbers. Please indicate your preference when applying, however the actual preferred day cannot be guaranteed. Where only one day is required it is likely to be the Thursday.

Course programme

Core Units: Developing Professional Practice Business Issues and the context of HR Using Information in HR Managing the HR Function Additional units are expected to be: Employment Law Contemporary Developments in Employment Relations Meeting organisational development needs Developing coaching and mentoring within organisations Reward Management Participants will gain a working knowledge about how HR can contribute to organizational effectiveness and long term sustainability. The course has strategic elements to it so it is particularly useful for students to have a mentor to assist them at work. The course is delivered at our Park Lane Campus. Free parking is available from around 4pm on course evenings. Attendance is one evening a week. As this is a Diploma course it is longer than other courses and so classes may take place in what is considered half term. Please do not book holidays without checking Students must meet one of the following minimum academic qualifications:- A relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3 At least two A levels (typically such candidates will also have good personnel, development or management experience) A “Foundation” level qualification from the CIPD A Certificate in Personnel or Training Practice (CPP or CTP) from the CIPD An equivalent or higher level award from nationally recognised educational or professional bodies in a relevant area; There will be an interview to discuss the course suitability.
