The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is the premier global organisation serving the procurement and supply profession. Dedicated to promoting best practice, CIPS provides a wide range of services for the benefit of members and the wider business community.
The CIPS Diploma in procurement and supply focusses on how organisational procedures and processes perform in procurement and supply, including negotiating, planning, risk management and data anlaysis.
The course is delivered at this CIPS 'Centre of Excellence' by a range of tutors. The course leader has relevant industry experience and has MCIPS via the Graduate Diploma qualification.

You should have at least two A Levels (or international equivalent) or a CIPS Certificate level qualification. Students without any prior qualifications must have at least two years’ experience in a business environment
Students are required to register for student membership of the institute prior to starting the course where the level of entry to the CIPS programme will be advised by CIPS.

Please note: the fees listed do not include the study guides for each module, which can be purchased directly from CIPS.
CIPS registration fees and examination fees are also payable in addition to course fess, and paid directly to CIPS.
How long is the course?The course takes a minimum of one year to complete depending on the chosen study pattern.
Attendance is part-time afternoon and evening each week, to complete the course in one year.
Alternatively, students can study either afternoons or evenings, which would lead to the level being completed in 18 to 24 months.

Examinations are held during the third week of May and November each year.
Candidates are required to submit entry forms and payment for examinations to CIPS. Details can be found on the CIPS website.

- Contexts of procurement and supply
- Business needs in procurement and supply
- Sourcing in procurement and supply
- Negotiating and contracting in procurement and supply
- Managing contracts and relationships in procurement and supply
