Course programme
Course review:
This qualification is aimed at gym instructors who wish to take classes or those instructors who are already working as circuit training instructors but who lack the recognised qualification to run their own classes. As such you will need to be qualified at level 2 already holding a Gym Instructor qualification or similar qualification which sits at level 2 on the REPs register;
Delivery
Like the Gym Instructor course this course is delivered face to face by current experts in their field and all course material will be sent to you in advance of your course dates allowing you to start studying immediately. The instructors will pass on years of experience allowing you to be fully prepared to you're your own classes in a range of environments and venues. The delivery will involve both practical sessions in a studio environment and theoretical lessons in a class environment and will be delivered over 1 weekend or two days. The first day will involve studying the whole range of exercises and circuit training theories and layouts and involve a fully hands on approach to circuit training. The second day will involve your assessment and assess your capability to plan, organise, deliver and evaluate a circuit training class.

Course content
During the course you will be taught by current circuit training practitioners on how to organise and plan a range of classes and circuit layouts to deliver an excellent class for your clients. You will be shown a range of warm up styles which can be incorporated to prepare your clients. A complete range of circuit exercises, with and without equipment, will be taught as well as the progressions within the exercises to allow for adaptation for your clients.

•Direct observation of candidate instructing a gym session

PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to bring one client with you for your practical assessment who should be capable of completing a one hour circuit class.
