What is the course about?
This is a practical work related course in which you will design, create and implement small to medium sized networks. Understand and utilise the OSI networking model when troubleshooting network problems. Use subnetting to implement an IP scheme to a Local Area Network.
Will I need anything else?
No specialist equipment is necessary, but you will need access to the Cisco online curriculum and therefore an active internet connection at home is advisable.
How long & often do I attend?
The CCNA Discovery course is in four modules, you enrol for one year and will undertake two modules. You then have to reenrol for the second year for the other two modules. Each year is for one session for two and a half hours per session.
How will I be assessed?
Each semester is broken into chapters, each chapter you must complete an online chapter exam. At the end of each semester you need to complete a theory exam with 70% or greater, and pass a practical exam.
