Entry RequirementsCandidates who have successfully completed CCNA - 1 Networking Basics and CCNA 2 - Routers and Routing Basics.
Course Content
The Cisco CCNA 3 Course is a Switching Basics and Intermediate Routing course and is the third of the four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. CCNA 3 focuses on advanced IP addressing techniques (Variable Lenght Subnet Masking (VLSM), intermediate routing protocols (RIP v2, single-area OSPF, EIGRP), command-line interface configuration of switches, Ethernet switching, Virtual LANs (VLANs), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP).More Information on completion of this course you will be able to
·List the required IPX address and encapsulation type.
·Configure IPX access lists and SAP filters to control basic Novell traffic.
·Enable the Novell IPX protocol and configure interfaces.
·Monitor Novell IPX operation on the router.
·Describe the advantages of LAN segmentation.
·Describe LAN segmentation using bridges.
·Describe LAN segmentation using routers.
·Describe LAN segmentation using switches.
·Name and describe two switching methods.
·Describe full - and half-duplex Ethernet operation.
·Describe network congestion problem in Ethernet networks.
