It provides an introduction to health, safety and welfare issues and legal responsibilities relevant to their work. The course gives attendees valuable practical know-how and the confidence to safely supervise and manage construction work.

The Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is aimed at foremen, gangers, team leaders, supervisors and those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities. It provides an introduction to health, safety and welfare issues and legal responsibilities relevant to their work. The course gives attendees valuable practical know-how and the confidence to safely supervise and manage construction work.

This course is endorsed by UKCG (UK Contractors Group, previously MCG, Major Contractors Group) who require that ALL supervisors working on UKCG member companies’ sites from 1 January 2010 must demonstrate that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to supervise their workers effectively.
