Be able to understand risk assessment principles

This course is for you if you are involved in the tunnel construction industry as a member of the workforce, to help you understand a variety of different health and safety aspects of the industry, the associated working environment and some of the potential hazards you may face working on a tunnelling site.
The Tunnelling Safety Training Scheme was launched in September 2015 and replaces three separate tunnelling safety schemes: the Tunnel Safety Card, the Underground Safety Passport and the CITB HS&E Specialist Tunnelling Test. The TSTS is being supported by CITB, TunnelSkills and the British Tunnelling Society.
This qualification is a requirement for contractors wanting to work on major tunnelling contracts.
