The C&G 5101 Certificate in Mobile Vehicle Air Conditioning Systems is a level 3 course broken down into 3 modules:
Module 1 – Refrigerant Handling for Mobile A/C Systems
Module 2 – Testing and Servicing Mobile A/C Systems
Module 3 – Advanced Diagnostics for Mobile A/C Systems
Module 1 has been designed to provide the essential practical knowledge in automotive air conditioning fundamentals and refrigerant handling. This enables technicians to carry out servicing procedures, component identification, leak checking and refrigerant handling in a professional, safe and legal manner.
This unit is recognised by the UK Government as exceeding the minimum requirements of European Commission Directive 307/2008. This regulation requires that persons handling fluorinated gases must be appropriately trained and possess a certificate attesting to the fact.
This unit can be taken on its own!
It also ensures technicians; employers and employees meet their duty of care under COSHH regulations.
Additional modules 2 & 3 can be taken at a later date to include a/c components, auto electrics, basic diagnostics, climate control & advanced diagnostics.
On successful completion students will obtain the City & Guilds 5101 certificate in Refrigerant Handling for Mobile A/C Systems (MACS).
Students attending this course may also attend an optional 3rd day to include 'Service & Repair' techniques at a reduced cost of £145.00
