Who is the programme for? This programme is for engineers and technicians with basic 2 dimensional AutoCAD experience. It allows students to develop their knowledge in the area of 3D modelling.
What will I study? This programme is designed to make use of 3 dimensional draughting and modelling systems. The programme will comprise the following:- * Drawing and editing in 3 D * Display control and plotting in 3 D.
Entry to the Programme?
How is it assessed? The programme is assessed by means of a multiple choice test, a competence log, and end of unit assignments.
Future prospects? Students successfully completing this programme may progress onto the City and Guilds 4354 Series in Advanced CAD and System Management, or the City and Guilds 230 Series in Advanced Computer Aided Draughting. Alternatively, the AutoCAD 3D qualification may provide students with exemptions/credits for a number of Edexcel programmes.
When will the programme start? The programme will start in September.
How long will it take? This one year part-time programme requires attendance at College for three hours a week, on an evening only basis.
