Course programme

Overview

You will study:

  • worldwide travel and tourism destinations,
  • overseas representation,
  • overseas resort operations
  • planning and delivering guided tours
  • holiday park hosting,
  • ski chalet hosting,
  • foreign exchange,
  • responding to emergency and problem situations in tourism destinations,
  • developing an entertainment programme in travel and tourism.

Alongside these programmes you will have a weekly tutorial with your course tutor who will work with you to ensure you are as successful as possible and track your progress.

This programme is ideal if you want to work as a resort representative, ski chalet host, tour guide or holiday park host. Opportunities are available each year for those wishing to be childcare representatives, entertainers and sports coaches, as well as traditional holiday representatives/hosts.

The course will run until Easter to fit in with the industry recruitment process and give you the best opportunity to seek permanent employment or summer season work.


Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language, and maths grade D or above, or
  • a level 2 qualification at overall merit grade, English at level 2 and maths at level 1, and
  • a good reference.
