The examination will take place on a Thursday evening (usually on the last day of the course) and is only available to sit six times a year. The dates and times of examinations will be set by the City and Guilds examination board.
Candidates are also required to complete a practical electrical training assessment which lasts for around three hours. This must be taken on the fourth day, or at a mutually convenient time for both the PASS electrical training centre and the candidate.
Both sections must be passed to receive City and Guilds Certification.
