Suitable for: Entry Requirements: This course is compulsory for anyone wanting to enrol on any City and Guilds Beauty Therapy Award that has not already completed a Beauty Therapy qualification. Currently this course is fully funded by the government for students under 19 years of age and as such we are currently unable to offer this course to students over this age.

By the end of this intensive Level 2 Health and Safety course you will:

  • Know the employer and employee health and safety responsibilities
  • Understand the differenced between hazards and risks which may occur in the salon
  • Know the methods used in salons to ensure health, safety and hygiene
  • Know how to dispose of different types of salon waste
  • Understand the importance of personal presentation and personal protective equipment
  • Be able to describe correct procedures for dealing with an emergency

This course can be completed in just 4 days and once you have successfully finished the course you will not need to take it again for any other Level 2 Award Courses at LCBT.
