About this course

You should have successully completed PC Maintenance Level 1. All students will be expected to undertake initial diagnostic tests at level 2 in English, Maths and IT. An appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy; related interests and experience; GCSEs grade E or above are desirable.

City & Guilds 7266 Diploma for IT Practitioners (ICT Systems Support) Level 2

Course Content:
The course comprises 1 compulsory module, Customer Support Provision plus 5 other modules as follows; 1. Install and configure ICT equipment and operating systems. 2. ICT systems monitoring and operation. 3. Install, configure and test ICT networks. 4. Install, configure and upgrade ICT software. 5. Maintain ICT equipment and systems.

The course is internally assessed through portfolio evidence and externally moderated. You will study key/basic skills in Literacy and numeracy at Level 1 or 2. Students will also attend enrichment and tutorials.

Progression:
Successful students can progress to relevant level 3 qualifications or to employment at the appropaite level.
