Introduction
A one year course designed to give you effective training in the management of conservation sites and the wider countryside along with the practical skills necessary to pursue a career within the environmental sector.
About the course
This course uses the 300 - hectare college estate and farm, which has woodland, rivers, ponds and wildlife habitats that have been successfully managed for the past 30 years. In addition, the countryside department makes use of local wildlife and nature reserves for practical conservation work.
This is a course with theory and a practical element. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of interest and commitment, together with some practical experience (probably voluntary or leisure interest), when invited to discuss your application with countryside staff.
