City & Guilds Award - Embellished Bag With Handle Level 1

This course is designed for the beginner to be able to develop basic skills on a sewing machine.

To produce an embellished bag.

Fabric will be dyed, painted, folded and stitched to create an interesting individual project.

Samples will be undertaken to build skills before undertaking a bag.

Please bring your basic sewing kit - to include pins, hand needles, threads, tape measure, scissors etc.

There will be some additional costs incurred during the course. This will be for the embellishments - beads, embroidery threads, water soluble fabrics etc. The tutor will advise on costs as the course progresses.

No formal assessment.
