Summary: The next step for students aged over 19 interested in who are looking to train as an electrician following level 2.
Course description: This course is suitable if you are currently working in an electrical environment, for those with an interest in electrical principles and wiring systems, or if you are seeking to train as an electrician.
The course comprises one evening class per week for theoretical study and one Saturday per month to develop the skills required to complete the practical assessment elements of the course. The qualification is assessed at Level 3 by the use of multiple choice “on line” examinations, written examinations, practical assessments and a written project. The City & Guilds 2365 qualification is a current "technical certificate" which is part of an electrician’s qualification framework and provides the underpinning knowledge required for NVQ 3 craft level status.

301 - Fundamental Principle and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems
302 - Principle of Electrical Science
303 - Electrical Installations: Fault Diagnosis & Rectification
304 - Electrical Installations: Inspection. Testing & Commissioning
305 - Electrical Systems Design (Design Project)
Career progression: This course provides the underpinning skills and knowledge to allow progression onto the NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, 2394 Initial Verification and Certification, 17th Edition Wiring regulations and further professional qualifications.

Costs: This course is a full cost course which means that unfortunately there are no reductions in tuition fees if you are unemployed or in receipt of benefits. You can pay by monthly or yearly instalments.
The cost includes City & Guilds registration, practical materials and one attempt at each examination and assessment. Candidates must provide their own stationery, calculator and safety footwear for workshop use.
