Course content:
This one year full-time course offers a complete training in Beauty Therapy for those people who have decided to specialise in this field. You will have the opportunity to qualify up to NVQ Level 3.

The course will cover the following areas:-

1st Year NVQ level 2

Mandatory Units
G1 Ensure your own actions reduce risk to health & safety

G6 Promote additional products & services to clients

G8 Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work

BT4 Improve and maintain facial skin condition

BT5 Provide eyelash & eyebrow treatment

BT6 Remove hair using waxing techniques

BT7 Provide manicure treatments

BT8 Provide pedicure treatments

BT9 Provide make-up treatments

Additional Units
VTCT Face & Body Painting

Assessment procedure:
Assessment covers both the practical aspects of the units and their underpinning theoretical knowledge.
Candidates will be entered for: City & Guilds Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 City.

Entry requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements but all applicants will be interviewed and must be able to demonstrate their potential for success and their suitability for the industry.
School leavers must present a Head Teachers confidential report.

Qualifications achieved:
NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy

Progression opportunities:
Successful students can progress onto City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy.
