What the course involves This is a detailed 480 hour music industry based level 2 course (on average 15 hours per week spread over 2 days) for focussed individuals with serious career aspirations and the potential to become future studio recording or live sound engineers, theatre/radio or live sound operatives and studio or media (web/gaming) based programmers. Industry based FE adult course for individuals who require further study and support or update in all current industry working practices and technology. Music and sound industry skills and responsibilities are further covered in detail, with particular focus on complex operator techniques and control. This qualification is also updated annually by City & Guilds and a team of industry consultants with all the latest developments for the music and sound sectors. The qualifications have been designed to provide candidates with advanced practical skills and knowledge valued by employers within the industry. This qualification has been developed to ensure it reflects a high level of current industry practices. Delivery of all project work for students is centred around the nationally approved Deep recording Studios industry standard 48 track broadcast recording environment. All our industry based recording staff working within the APRS (Association of Professional Recording Services) studio guidelines. Deep studios FE courses are approved by JAMES regarding FE education meeting industry employable skills requirements. Your staff team of tutorial engineers are all industry based recording engineers/producers with many years of recording experience, under membership of MPG (Music Producers Guild), PRS (Performing Rights Society) & APRS (Association of Professional Recording Services). Course completion leads to a nationally-recognised, industry endorsed qualification that will enable you to move onto more in depth knowledge required for the level 3 City & Guilds 7503-03
