About the course
Civil engineers help to create the structures and systems that sustain society. They are responsible for designing, building, maintaining and improving bridges, roads, canals, docks, office buildings, hospitals, schools, airports, power stations, railways, flood defences, and water-treatment facilities everywhere. This HNC is designed for those who are already working in the civil engineering industry in a range of roles, including trainee site engineers or quantity surveyors.

Entry requirements
We welcome applications from those who have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including maths, English and combined science, and one or more of the following:
48 UCAS tariff points (for September 2016 entry)
a BTEC National Award in a related subject
an Advanced Apprenticeship
an NVQ Level 3 in a related subject
equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
Should entry requirements not be met then individual cases will be considered.
