A lot of the evidence can come from observation and this consolidates our training that is then validated by this method. Enables progression to Level 2 and also development of duties and responsibilities - suitable for all! Work can be carried forward to the Level 2 and this acts as a n excellent business tool for us and SDL run this function for us - again we can then monitor its effect objectively.
    SDL are professional and deliver an excellent service to us - we use them to deliver all our\training needs and our staff work in various contracts in various locations and business types including Public sector. The staff are friendly and also easy to get on with - all candidates have reported this to us and we always know where we are with them. Recommended training providers that do so much more and and become part of the bsuiness.

Suitable for: The qualification is aimed at those new to the cleaning industry or experienced workers without qualifications. The qualilfication comprises of two mandatory units and also the selection of optional units from a choice of 26 units that will give credit values of 18 or more- this gives full certification at level 1. 1. Maintain personal hygiene standards when cleaning 2. Reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace 3. Do your job in a customer friendly way 4. Follow the rules to deliver customer service 5. Work with others and follow reporting procedures in a cleaning environment

About this course

No formal specific entry requirements but candidates will find it useful to have completed a level 1 qualification. Suitable for all. Optional units-18. Clean food areas 19. Deep clean equipment & surfaces 20. Clean, maintain and protect semi-hard and hard floors 21. Clean and maintain soft floors and furnishings 22. Clean glazed surfaces & facades 23. Deal with non-routine waste 24. Carry out maintenance & minor repairs 25. Perform street cleansing manually 26. Perform street cleansing mechanically 27. Work safely at heights 28. Use a water-fed pole system to clean windows and facades

What could be improved: There has been no immediate, short or med/long term negatives to undertaking this roll on roll off deliver & the work done at this level can be carried forward to the level 2 so absolutely no problems

Course programme

A qualification for those new to the industry or for those who are experienced but have no formal qualifications.

Comprises of two mandatory units and 26 optional units that inc. manual cleaning of floors, interiors, toilets and washrooms, spillages from highways and land manually, highways and land and also includes ice and snow highway cleaning.

Can be started as required - a very suitable qualification for new employees, trainees and volunteers as well as formal qualification for experienced individuals.

Candidates need to take 18 credits for a full qualification at Level 1.
