Clinical Coding Foundation

In order to achieve level 3 of Information Governance, a Trust must be seen to be providing a training programme for Clinical Coders, ensuring that the courses are comprehensive and conform to National Standards.

A course for Clinical Coders new to the profession, or who have not previously attended a basic clinical coding training course.

The course aims to provide the novice coder with an introduction to medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and Clinical Coding theory.

It also provides comprehensive basic training in the use of ICD-10 and OPCS-4.
