What will I study?
Mandatory modules include:
• Promote communication in health and social care
• Promote equality and inclusion in health and social care
• Duty of care in health and social care
• Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
• Promote person centred approaches in health and social care
• The principles of infection prevention and control
• Causes and spread of infection
• Cleaning, decontamination and waste management Option modules include:
• Recording blood pressure
• Assisting a health professional during clinical procedures
• Taking venous blood samples

What can I progress to?
You could go onto further study at university as a nurse - you may need a science qualification in addition to be successful. Or you could go on to do the assessor award, a management qualification or obtain a promotion within your workplace.

What are the entry requirements?
You will have to complete an application form and be successful in an interview with a tutor. You must be already working in a senior role within the sector.
