Profile Our course will suit practitioners with little or no implant dentistry experience. You will develop the skills to plan, treat and maintain implant cases. We provide the patients you treat on the course. The course satisfies the requirements of UK Training Standards in Implant Dentistry.

Course programme

Modules Compulsory modules
  • DCI8005 Theory of Implant Dentistry and Simulated Skills Training
  • DCI8006 Clinical Assessment and Surgery for Dental Implantation
  • DCI8007 Restoration and Maintenance of Dental Implants
  • The modules are designed to be delivered as one continuous course starting in either January or July. Further information on the course syllabus can be found on the School of Dental Sciences website.

Entry Requirements

You must have a primary dental qualification recognised by the General Dental Council (UK). You must have completed this at least two years before starting the course. You must be fully registered with the General Dental Council (UK) by the time the course starts.
