Learning Outcomes
- The learning outcomes of the Close Protection Fast Track Course will be achieved through modular subject delivery in accordance with SIA and awarding body specifications.
- By the end of the training course delegates will be better equipped to:
Explain the concepts, protocols and procedures relating to threat assessment and risk management relevant to Close Protection. - Discuss and implement relevant legislation and changes to the law with regards Close Protection operations.
- Demonstrate effective planning skills and operational knowledge in relation to incidents and dilemmas applicable to Close Protection.
- Discuss and demonstrate the strategies and concepts of effective and communication and conflict management.
- Recall associated skills and knowledge requirements applicable to the experienced Close Protection Operative
- Approach the SIA Close Protection licensing assessment with a greater degree of confidence and procedural knowledge.
Course Duration
The SIA stipulate that the fast track programme is conducted over 24 guided learning hours. Risks Contained have therefore designed this programme to run over three days inclusive of examination and 4 Star Accommodation and all meals.
Participant Profile
Attendance on the fast track course is only open to those existing Close Protection Operatives who can evidence relevant industry experience and/or proof of formal training. Therefore there is an assumed level of knowledge within the delegate profile.
Entry to the fast track training course is via completion an application form, production of a portfolio evidencing training and/or operational experience, plus two creditable industry references and mandatory attendance of an informal interview and course entrance assessment conducted by Risks Contained. All candidates must be in possession of an in-date (6 months remaining at start of course), relevant First Aid certificate.
