This unique training course has been designed and tailored for the professional Close Protection and or Surveillance Operative. The delegate will have received formal Close Protection training or relevant industry experience the CP fast track is combined with Surveillance OCN Level 3 course gaining the student 2 registered qualifications
This exciting and dynamic course is designed for people who will be carrying out Close Protection and surveillance on a regular basis as part of a surveillance / CP team or for those working in investigatory positions and close protection teams this course with the view of the introduction of the SIA investigatory license in 2010 and naturally the SIA Close protection license already in force.
Risks Contained have developed a Level 3 qualification in Advanced Protective Surveillance & Intelligence through Open College Network Southern Region (OCNSR) and combined this with Close Protection Ed Excel level 3 to offer an all inclusive unique opportunity to security specialists.
We are well respected within the industry as surveillance and specialist protective security training providers with training and operating specialists in these specific areas, all our trainers are operational and have had extensive careers in surveillance and Close protection disciplines including Special Forces regiments and government intelligence departments.
Skills are taught which are essential for gathering evidence by covert means and to become a proficient surveillance and Close protection operator. We cover how to carry out surveillance on foot, vehicle, and public transport and by static point in addition to protection by the means of surveillance. These skills are then put into practise by conducting supervised surveillance and protective security exercises. The training is further enhanced with lessons in relation to covert photography and vehicle tracking.
This course includes exercises that are realistic, structured and controlled to gain the most benefit for the student.
Course Duration
The SIA stipulate that the close protection fast track programme is conducted over 24 guided learning hours. Risks Contained have therefore designed this programme to run over three days with the surveillance module taking a further 7 days totalling 10 days fully inclusive of examination and 4 Star Accommodation and all meals.
Participant Profile
There is no prior requirements to attend the surveillance section although attendance on the fast track course is only open to those existing Close Protection Operatives who can evidence relevant industry experience and/or proof of formal training. Therefore there is an assumed level of knowledge within the delegate profile. Entry to the training course is via completion an online application form, production of a portfolio evidencing training and/or operational experience, plus two creditable industry references and mandatory attendance of an informal interview and course entrance assessment conducted by Risks Contained. All candidates must be in possession of a relevant First Aid Certificate.
