Introduction Who Should Participate:
The OCR Level 4 NVQ in Co-ordination of Learning and Development Provision is designed to reflect the work of those who have a role in the strategic planning for learning and development in the government-funded-work-based learning environments. The will also be identifying the learning and development needs of the organisation, designing learning programmes and managing other people's contribution to the learning process. They may have a quality assurance role or work with individuals to identify learning goals and review the trainee's environment for health and safety.

Course Units To achieve the qualification the candidate must complete seven units in total. These are drawn from six mandatory units and one optional unit.

Mandatory Units:
· Identify individual learning aims and programmes
· Design learning programmes
· Agree learning programmes with learners
· Manage the contribution of other people to the learning process
· Evaluate and improve learning and development programmes
· Evaluate and develop own practice

Optional Units:
· Identify the learning development needs of the organisation
· Prepare and develop resources to support learning
· Create a climate that promotes learning
· Support and advise individual learners
· Monitor and review progress with learners
· Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process
· Review health and safety procedures in workplaces

Course Outcome:
Development of experience and knowledge in Learning and Development nationally recognised Level 4 award.
