Course programme

What Will I Learn

Key sports coaching skills are developed through units such as Improving Coaching, Psychology of Sports Performance, Sports Development and Research and Fitness and Conditioning.

Event Management and Graded Units 2 and 3 will further develop your analytical and research skills to prepare you for working at a higher level with sports performers or developing sport.

How Will I Learn

The course is a blend of theory activities combined with extensive practical coaching opportunities, visits and activities linked with NGBs, Active Schools and local partner organisations.

Students may also have the opportunity to participate in a foreign study tour to enhance their coaching skills.

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of this course, students may apply to join year 3 of the BA/BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and Development.
