Coaching
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has a responsibility for conducting one-to-one coaching sessions in the workplace and provides an introduction to the skills and knowledge required to conduct a short coaching session. 

Recognise the barriers to learning. Agree and write personal development plans.  
The purpose of one-to-one coaching is to tailor development to the individual whilst at the same time enhancing the coach’s capabilities to the benefit of themselves, enriching team capabilities and ultimately benefiting the organisation as a whole as people become more effective in their roles.


We look at the different styles of coaching such as Tell Coaching (you tell them what to do), Share Experience (you share your experiences), Behavioural Coaching (you explore the underpinning behaviour which influences their effectiveness), Inner-coaching (you discuss what motivates that person and how their motivation influences their results), Self-coaching (you encourage them to challenge their own assumptions and to take responsibility for their own learning).


By the end of the workshop, your delegates will be able to


  • Know when to coach.

  • Understand the benefits of coaching and how frequently one-to-ones should be conducted.

  • Prepare for a coaching session.

  • Understand the five coaching styles.

  • Recognise the importance of talking versus listening.

  • Recognise and understand how people learn.

  • Provide constructive feedback.
