Course Content
Inshore Diving
The course prepares the diver for using scuba equipment for work. This is the minimum requirement to allow the use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA), which includes the use of the EXO26 and AGA full-face mask, and scuba communications for diving in inshore waters. It is suitable for divers who want to work in the following areas:
- Media diving
- Archaeological and scientific diving
- Shellfish diving
- Inshore diving work including the use of tools and lifting equipment
This course is conducted using communications at all times between the diver and supervisor using standard scuba gear and a variety of full face masks. You learn how to execute searches and recover objects, rescue another diver in trouble and cope with your own emergency situations. You will learn how to dive to 30 metres (100 feet).
