Community Sport s Leaders Award

Community Sport's Leaders Award
CSLA Level 2 - One-year course
This award is the first step to assist students in developing their leadership and coaching potential. It will teach students to organise activities, to lead, motivate and communicate with groups.

The Community Sports Leader's Award is divided into eight units of work. Students must complete all eight units including Voluntary Leadership Experience.

The units include:

• Organisational Skills
• Safety in Sport
• Fitness for Sport
• Leagues and Competitions
• Games and Activity Experience

This award will help to provide a stepping stone into employment. Many leisure centres and children's activity groups now require the CSLA as a basic requirement. This is an additional course for sports students.
