Students often progress to university courses in PE teaching, Primary Education and other Sports related degrees. It is a good preparation for careers in sport and leisure and sports development work

The course involves a great deal of practical work, some of which will take place in local primary schools. You will organise your own voluntary work placement. To take this course you need to be a general sports enthusiast, not sport specific, but some expertise is needed for all round activities.

Students may progress to the Higher Sports Leader Award in year 2.
