The Makeover Studio School of Make-up is a private media make-up training establishment located in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Set in the tranquil and leafy area of Craneswater Park, in the seaside town of Southsea, the school is just minutes from the seafront and Solent and within easy access to rail stations, all major motorway routes and Southampton Airport. As an accredited training company our aim is to provide you with relevant information and background knowledge to enable you to follow a fulfilling and professional training path leading to recognised certificates. Classes are kept to a maximum of eight and consist of both theoretical discussions and live demonstrations, with emphasis placed upon practical work. Skills and confidence are developed by hands-on experience coupled with current industry techniques often omitted on standard beauty therapy courses. Supportive course notes and training manuals are provided. Courses are accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, which means you can apply for membership, insurance cover and use the initials MGBT after your name, showing your customers that you are a true professional.Duration:

Complete Make-up Artist Diploma CPD:80
You will gain both practical and theoretical application experience and an essential understanding of how to prepare the skin and apply make-up for a variety of professional work as a make-up artist. Subjects include; day, evening, special occasion, bridal, photographic and fashion make-up as well as creating individual make-up designs. Course includes an introduction to photographic and fashion make-up in both historical and contemporary contexts.
The finale of the course is a photo shoot of your work on day five, where you will experience working in a photographic studio environment alongside a professional photographer.

Entry Requirements: Minimum age of attendance is 17 years having completed full time statutory education including English and attending with parental consent.
Duration: Five consecutive days.
Fees: £795.00
What is Included: Luxury brush set, all tuition, use of skin preparation and make-up products, course notes, photo shoot, C.D containing your portfolio images. Assessment and accredited fully insurable Diploma certificate awarded upon successful completion.
Attendance Hours: 09.45 – 17.00 daily.
Cameras: Students may bring cameras for use during the am/pm sessions however, personal cameras are strictly forbidden during the photo shoot.
Note: Students must be prepared to work upon one another on the course.
To meet with professional standards completion of home based (self study) coursework will be required to be submitted after training (theory and case studies). Total number of hours to complete this course including full attendance is approximately 66 hours. This course will run on the basis of a minimum of six students attending.
