The module will cover the pathophysiology of critical illness and its implications will be explored in the context of patient assessment, interpretation of clinical observations and patient management. The content covers a broad range of critical care nursing including compassion, acute lung injury, shock, sepsis, delirium, intracranial insult, diabetic emergencies, acute kidney injury, acute pain and advanced ventilation.
