Course summary A new qualification available on a flexible study/evening basis

Course description
Who can join?
Entry point for those wishing to pursue a career as a CADD technician, or those in related industries who wish a formal qualification in CADD. The course is considered to be specially relevant to those candidates who already have a qualification or are working in a related industry, eg engineering, architecture, construction, interior design or product design: this is an ideal opportunity to gain a formal qualification in CADD

How do I attend?
Attendance is on flexible study basis, which may mean some evening sessions in The NHC-Thurso.

What will I study?
The course focuses on the basic building blocks of CADD application, moving towards more sophisticated CADD skills.

Industry standard latest release software is used, i.e. AutoCAD 2009, Inventor 2009 and REVIT Architectural.

What could I do next?
The aim of the award is to enable candidates to progress to further academic and/or professional qualifications. This PDA has been designed as a subset of the HNC award and all credits count towards the HNC CADD. You would require only a further 6 credits from the mandatory units of the HNC framework to achieve the award.

How do I join?
Course Fees for Part Time Students

The units which count towards this qualification are available on an individual basis, making it possible for part time students to gather sufficient units to achieve the award.

You may not have to pay any fees for these units if you qualify for a fee waiver, for instance if you are eligible for certain benefits. See the college's Fee Waiver Policy in the resources area of the website.

It is possible to use a current Individual Learning Account (ILA200) to pay for these units as you come to study them.
