MSc Computer Networking
Mode: full-time (September start)


The award is much more focused and produces students with a greater depth of knowledge in the area of computer networking.

Specifically, this programme will be suitable if you are looking to develop proficiency in Network Systems, Grid Services and Distributed Networking, Secure Data Communications, Emerging Technologies, Wireless Network Systems, Distributed Parallel Computing, Professional Project Management, Networking Administration and Management .

There is also an optional training course which cover the areas of network management, server configuration/administration and computer hardware technology.

The course is available during the summer period and it is delivered at Barnfield College.

This course is complemented by vendor supported training, which will allow students to enhance their career prospects and employment opportunities. Routes available include Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) routes.

Not only does this programme seek to provide you with specialist networking knowledge and programming skills, but it also aims to address those key areas in which there is a widely acknowledged skills gap in what businesses are seeking and are afforded to students on an undergraduate programme.

Special entry requirements

For international students, evidence of sufficient skill in English is required, with a minimum requirement being an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 580, or an equivalent score in TELAS, the University of Bedfordshire's own testing scheme.
